Review and Revision
Review and revision means that I read your final draft and address the structure, organization, clarity, concision and content of your document in order to improve legibility and the overall quality of the work. In the case of research articles I will check that your study is hypothesis-driven, and I will critically analyse the logical development of your arguments. Awkward style, idiomatic language use and paragraph structure is checked at this stage, and the cited references are checked to ensure that sufficient justification for the work has been demonstrated in the context of the existing literature. I will provide comments, questions and suggestions to assist you in writing a suitable final version for publication. All comments and corrections are provided in Tracked Changes in Microsoft Word. The goal is to provide articles, chapters, reports and other papers that can be submitted to peer-reviewed scientific journals, and survive initial editorial evaluation.

English-language editing
I carry out basic English-language editing if your native language is not English.
English-language editing fee: €55/hour(or a negotiated flat fee for the entire job)
Copy editing
Copy editing means that your text is checked and corrected for grammar, syntax, choice of vocabulary, consistency of style, punctuation, capitalization, and basic formatting problems. All comments and corrections are provided in Tracked Changes in Microsoft Word. The goal is to revise your paper so that it is error-free.
Copy editing fee: €50/hour (or a negotiated flat fee for the entire job)
Proofreading
Proofreading is the final step in editorial revision. At this stage, only superficial mistakes in grammar, punctuation or spelling are corrected. A paper is ready for proofreading after all language or editorial revisions have been completed.

Teaching

Teaching fees are negotiated according to individual student needs. Basic conversation in either French or English begins at €35/$42 per hr; full language courses (including written exercises) begin at €45/$54 per hr. The first hour is free of charge.
Translation
French to English, all levels and types (technical, scientific, literary). Rates will vary according to the degree of technical difficulty and urgency of the deadline.
